A direct link between the past and the future
Laboratorio Terapeutico M.R. now has a wealth of experience in its field, having started life as a new pharmaceutical company founded in 1930, in Rome, by Dr Renzo Minuto, who devoted himself fully to the business and its growth. There have been many changes over the years and the company has been transformed internally and externally, which has inevitably also had an effect on the kind of products it manufactures.
Over the last 40 years, Laboratorio Terapeutico M.R., while retaining its status as a pharmaceutical company, has invested in the production of natural products, cosmetics and herbal products.
Dr Giorgio Sismondi joined the company in 1978, instantly making a positive and proactive contribution to the team. From that point, based on growing demand and new and informed beliefs, the company began to analyse, discover and research new products and guiding principles. This change was a turning point that gives a well-defined and clear picture of what Laboratorio Terapeutico M.R. is today.

Achieving results of any kind requires a growing team and perfect synergy between the individual team members, in order to respond proactively to different needs.
The strength of the Sismondi family has created this and much more; expansion of the company has led to the development of a large family, whose strengths today are teamwork, understanding, determination and a youthful dynamic spirit.

From the 1980s onwards, with the change of direction in terms of Laboratorio Terapeutico M.R.’s production, turnover has grown exponentially, while staff numbers have increased too.
Awareness and earnestness have been the impetus for increasingly significant growth, up to the last three-year period, in which turnover and staff headcount grew proportionally; the research centre has expanded considerably, including by hiring a team of recent graduates to carry out research and experimentation.

Laboratorio Terapeutico M.R. was founded in 1930 as a pharmaceutical company and in the early 1980s it began to diversify its business, specialising in the production of parapharmaceuticals and following all the manufacturing processes involved. Over time, medicine itself has changed and consumers have shifted their attention to natural products, increasingly moving away from allopathic products. Laboratorio Terapeutico M.R. is particularly interested in natural and herbal medicine production, based on plant extracts, minerals and vitamins.
